2. 영어문장 소리 내서 3번 읽기

뜻을 모르더라도 읽을 수 있다면 일단 3번 읽어보세요. 절대 중간에 끊지 말고 처음부터 끝까지 읽어보세요.

 

Genesis 1:24-27

24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds - livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 

 

3. 어휘 암기하기

어휘를 암기하는 것은 어휘를 저축하는 것과 같습니다. 암기한 어휘를 문장에 적용시키면 오래도록 기억할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 저축한 어휘는 어느 순간 폭발적으로 효과를 나타냅니다. 

• bring forth 낳다, 산출하다
• kind 종류
• livestock 가축
• creep 기다, 기어가다
• according to ~에 따라
• beast 짐승, 들짐승
• ground 땅
• image 형상, 모양
  
• likeness 외관, 닮음, 겉모양
• dominion 통치, 지배, 통치권
• over ~을 지배하여, ~의 상위에
• own 자기 자신의
• male 남자
• female 여자

 

4. 직독직해 

영어문장 끊어 읽기를 연습합니다. 영어문장과 끊어서 해석한 우리말을 읽으면서 직독직해를 연습하세요.

① And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds - livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so. 

• And God said 그리고 하나님이 말씀하셨다
• Let the earth bring forth living creatures 땅은 살아있는 생물을 낳아라
• according to their kinds 그들의 종류에 따라
• livestock and creeping things 가축과 기어다니는 것들과
• and beasts of the earth 땅의 들짐승들
• according to their kinds 그들의 종류에 따라
• And it was so 그리고 그대로 되었다

② And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 

• And God made 그리고 하나님은 만드셨다
• the beasts of the earth according to their kinds 땅의 들짐승을 그 종류에 따라
• and livestock according to their kinds 그리고 가축을 그 종류에 따라
• and everything that creeps on the ground 그리고 땅에 기어다는 모든 것을

• And God was that it was good 그리고 하나님이 보시기에 좋았다

③ Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 

• Then God said 그 때 하나님이 말씀하셨다
• Let us make man in our image 우리 형상대로 사람을 만들자
• after our likeness 우리의 모양을 따라
• And let them have dominion 그리고 그들이 통치하도록 시키자
• over the fish of the sea 바다의 물고기와
• and over the birds of the heavens 하늘의 새와 
• and over the livestock 가축과
• and over all the earth 온 땅과
• and over every creeping thing 모든 기어다는 것을
• that creeps on the earth 그것은 땅 위를 기어다닌다

④ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 

• So God created man 그래서 하나님은 사람을 만드셨다
• in his won image 하나님 자신의 형상대로
• in the image of God 하나님의 형상대로
• he created him 하나님이 사람을 만드셨다
• male and female 남자와 여자
• he created them 하나님이 그들을 만드셨다

 

5. 전체 문장 끊어 읽기

앞에 끊어서 읽으면서 해석한 것을 기억하며 읽어보세요. 영어문장을 읽을 때 끊어진 부분에서 아주 잠깐 쉰다고 생각하면서 읽으면 끊어진 단위대로 해석할 수 있게 됩니다. 

 

Genesis 1:24-27

24 And God said, / "Let the earth bring forth living creatures / according to their kinds / - livestock and creeping things / and beasts of the earth / according to their kinds." / And it was so. / 25 And God made / the beasts of the earth according to their kinds / and the livestock according to their kinds, / and everything that creeps on the ground / according to its kind. / And God saw that it was good. / 26 Then God said, / "Let us make man in our image, / after our likeness. / And let them have dominion / over the fish of the sea / and over the birds of the heavens / and over the livestock / and over all the earth / and over every creeping thing / that creeps on the earth." / 27 So God created man / in his own image, / in the image of God / he created him; / male and female / he created them. 

 

7. 전체 문장 다시 읽기

끊어 읽기를 하나하나 생각하는 것이 아니라 전체 내용을 머릿속에 그림을 그리며 읽어보세요. 3-5번 멈추지 않고 읽어볼 것을 권합니다.

8. 자신의 음성으로 녹음하기

영어문장을 읽는 것이 익숙해졌다면 자신의 목소리로 녹음을 한 다음 들으면서 어색한 부분을 점검해 보세요. 이 과정을 통해서 좀 더 자신 있게 영어로 말하는 연습을 할 수 있습니다. 앞에 원어민이 읽어주는 파일과 비교하면서 연습해 보세요.

 

9. 전체문장 반복해서 읽기

자신의 목소리로 녹음해서 원어민 발음과 비교해서 교정을 했다면 이제 마지막으로 무한반복 읽기에 도전하기 바랍니다. 암기한 어휘나 끊어 읽기를 적용하는 것이 아니라 영어문장 자체를 계속 읽으면서 입에서 자연스럽게 나올 수 있게 반복해 보세요.
