뜻을 모르더라도 읽을 수 있다면 일단 3번 읽어보세요. 절대 중간에 끊지 말고 처음부터 끝까지 읽어보세요.

 

Matthew 13:3-8

3 And he told them many things in parables, saying: A sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, 6 but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. 8 Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 

 

3. 어휘 암기하기

어휘를 암기하는 것은 어휘를 저축하는 것과 같습니다. 암기한 어휘를 문장에 적용시키면 오래도록 기억할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 저축한 어휘는 어느 순간 폭발적으로 효과를 나타냅니다.

4. 직독직해 

영어문장 끊어 읽기를 연습합니다. 영어문장과 끊어서 해석한 우리말을 읽으면서 직독직해를 연습하세요.

① And he told them many things in parables, saying: A sower went out to sow.

• And he told them many things in parables 예수님이 그들에게 비유로 여러 가지를 말씀하셨다
• saying 말하기를
• A sower went out sow 씨 뿌리는 사람이 씨를 뿌리러 나갔다

→ 예수께서 비유로 여러 가지를 그들에게 말씀하여 이르시되 씨를 뿌리는 자가 뿌리러 나가서

 

 

② And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. 

• And as he sowed 그가 뿌릴 때 
• some seeds fell along the path 몇 개가 길을 따라 떨어졌다
• and the birds came 새들이 와서
• and devoured them 그것들을 삼켜 버렸다

→ 뿌릴새 더러는 길 가에 떨어지매 새들이 와서 먹어버렸고

 

③ Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil,

• Other seeds fell on rocky ground 다른 씨앗은 돌이 많은 땅에 떨어져서
• where they did not have much soil 토양이 많지 않은 곳에서
• and immediately they sprang up 즉시 싹이 나왔다
• since they had no depth of soil 땅이 깊지 않기 때문이다

→ 더러는  흙이 얕은 돌밭에 떨어지매 흙이 깊지 아니하므로 곧 싹이 나오나

 

④ but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. 

• but when the sun rose 해가 떠오를 때
• they were scorched 그것들이 시들어 버렸다
• And since they had no root 그리고 뿌리가 없기 때문에
• they withered away 시들어버렸다

→ 해가 돋은 후에 타서 뿌리가 없으므로 말랐고

 

⑤ Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.

• Other seeds fell among thorns 다른 씨앗은 가시 사이에 떨어졌다
• and the thorns grew up 가시가 자라서
• and choked them 씨앗들을 말라 죽게 했다

→ 더러는 가시떨기 위에 떨어지매 가시가 자라서 기운을 막았고

 

⑥ Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

• Other seeds fell on good soil 다른 씨앗은 좋은 땅에 떨어졌다
• and produced grain 곡식을 생산했다
• some a hundredfold 몇몇은 백 배
• some sixty, some thirty 몇몇은 60배, 몇몇은 30배

→ 더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어지매 어떤 것은 백 배, 어떤 것은 육십 배, 어떤 것은 삼십 배의 결실을 하였느니라

 

5. 전체 문장 끊어 읽기

앞에 끊어서 읽으면서 해석한 것을 기억하며 읽어보세요. 영어문장을 읽을 때 끊어진 부분에서 아주 잠깐 쉰다고 생각하면서 읽으면 끊어진 단위대로 해석할 수 있게 됩니다.

6. 전체 문장 다시 읽기

끊어 읽기를 하나하나 생각하는 것이 아니라 전체 내용을 머릿속에 그림을 그리며 읽어보세요. 3-5번 멈추지 않고 읽어볼 것을 권합니다.

7. 자신의 음성으로 녹음하기

영어문장을 읽는 것이 익숙해졌다면 자신의 목소리로 녹음을 한 다음 들으면서 어색한 부분을 점검해 보세요. 이 과정을 통해서 좀 더 자신 있게 영어로 말하는 연습을 할 수 있습니다. 앞에 원어민이 읽어주는 파일과 비교하면서 연습해 보세요.

 

8. 전체문장 반복해서 읽기

자신의 목소리로 녹음해서 원어민 발음과 비교해서 교정을 했다면 이제 마지막으로 무한반복 읽기에 도전하기 바랍니다. 암기한 어휘나 끊어 읽기를 적용하는 것이 아니라 영어문장 자체를 계속 읽으면서 입에서 자연스럽게 나올 수 있게 반복해 보세요.
