2. 영어문장 소리 내서 3번 읽기

뜻을 모르더라도 읽을 수 있다면 일단 3번 읽어보세요. 절대 중간에 끊지 말고 처음부터 끝까지 읽어보세요.

 

Matthew 26:26-29

26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink of it, all of you, 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29 I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

 

3. 어휘 암기하기

어휘를 암기하는 것은 어휘를 저축하는 것과 같습니다. 암기한 어휘를 문장에 적용시키면 오래도록 기억할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 저축한 어휘는 어느 순간 폭발적으로 효과를 나타냅니다.

4. 직독직해 

영어문장 끊어 읽기를 연습합니다. 영어문장과 끊어서 해석한 우리말을 읽으면서 직독직해를 연습하세요.

① Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”

• Now as they were eating 그들이 먹고 있을 때
• Jesus took bread 예수님께서 빵을 집어 들었다
• and after blessing it 그리고 축복기도하신 후에
• broke it 빵을 나누어서
• and gage it to the disciples 그것을 제자들에게 주었다
• and said 그리고 말씀하셨다
• Take, eat 받아서 먹어라
• this is my body 이것은 나의 몸이

→ 또 잔을 가지사 감사 기도 하시고 그들에게 주시며 이르시되 너희가 다 이것을 마시라

 

③ for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

• for this is my blood of the coveant 이것은 내 피, 언약의 피이다
• which is porued out for many 내가 많은 사람들을 위해서 그 피를 쏟았다
• for the forgiveness of sins 죄를 용서하기 위해

→ 이것은 죄 사함을 얻게 하려고 많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는 바 나의 피 곧 언약의 피니라

 

④ I tell you I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

• I tell you 내가 너희에게 말한다
• I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine 내가 포도나무 열매를 다시는 마시지 않을 것이다
• until that day 그 날까지
• when I drink it new 내가 새롭게 그것을 마시는
• with you in the Father's kingdom 아버지의 나라에서 너희와 함

→ 그러나 너희에게 이르노니 내가 포도나무에서 난 것을 이제부터 내 아버지의 나라에서 새것으로 너희와 함께 마시는 날까지 마시지 아니하리라 하시니라

 

 

 

♠ 문법노트

that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom

▶ 시간을 나타내는 명사 + when + 주어 + 동사 ~

시간을 나타내는 명사 뒤에 오는 when은 명사를 수식하는 '관계부사'입니다. 'when~'이 앞에 나오는 that day를 수식해서 '~하는 그 날'이라고 해석합니다. 

→ 내가 아버지의 나라에서 너희와 함께 새롭게 마시는 그 날

 

5. 전체 문장 끊어 읽기

앞에 끊어서 읽으면서 해석한 것을 기억하며 읽어보세요. 영어문장을 읽을 때 끊어진 부분에서 아주 잠깐 쉰다고 생각하면서 읽으면 끊어진 단위대로 해석할 수 있게 됩니다. 

 

26 Now as they were eating, / Jesus took bread, / and after blessing it / broke it and gave it to the disciples, / and said, / “Take, eat; / this is my body.” / 27 And he took a cup, / and when he had given thanks / he gave it to them, / saying, / “Drink of it, all of you, / 28 for this is my blood of the covenant, / which is poured out for many / for the forgiveness of sins. / 29 I tell you / I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine / until that day / when I drink it new / with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

 

6. 전체 문장 다시 읽기

끊어 읽기를 하나하나 생각하는 것이 아니라 전체 내용을 머릿속에 그림을 그리며 읽어보세요. 3-5번 멈추지 않고 읽어볼 것을 권합니다.

7. 자신의 음성으로 녹음하기

영어문장을 읽는 것이 익숙해졌다면 자신의 목소리로 녹음을 한 다음 들으면서 어색한 부분을 점검해 보세요. 이 과정을 통해서 좀 더 자신 있게 영어로 말하는 연습을 할 수 있습니다. 앞에 원어민이 읽어주는 파일과 비교하면서 연습해 보세요.

 

8. 전체문장 반복해서 읽기

자신의 목소리로 녹음해서 원어민 발음과 비교해서 교정을 했다면 이제 마지막으로 무한반복 읽기에 도전하기 바랍니다. 암기한 어휘나 끊어 읽기를 적용하는 것이 아니라 영어문장 자체를 계속 읽으면서 입에서 자연스럽게 나올 수 있게 반복해 보세요.
