뜻을 모르더라도 읽을 수 있다면 일단 3번 읽어보세요. 절대 중간에 끊지 말고 처음부터 끝까지 읽어보세요.

 

Luke 8:5-8

5 A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. 8 And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold. As he said these things, he called out, He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 

 

3. 어휘 암기하기

어휘를 암기하는 것은 어휘를 저축하는 것과 같습니다. 암기한 어휘를 문장에 적용시키면 오래도록 기억할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 저축한 어휘는 어느 순간 폭발적으로 효과를 나타냅니다. 

• sower 씨 뿌리는 사람
• sow 씨를 뿌리다
• seed 씨앗
• fall (fell-fallen) 떨어지다
• along ~을 따라서
• path 길
• trample 짓밟다
• underfoot 발 밑에
• devour 집어삼키다, 먹어치우다

• yield 산출하다, 수확하다
• hundredfold 백 배
• call out 외치다

 

4. 직독직해 

영어문장 끊어 읽기를 연습합니다. 영어문장과 끊어서 해석한 우리말을 읽으면서 직독직해를 연습하세요.

① A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell alnog the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it.

• A sower went out to sow his seed 씨를 뿌리는 사람이 씨를 뿌리러 나갔다
• And he sowed 그가 씨를 뿌릴 때
• some fell along the path 어떤 것은 길을 따라 떨어져서
• and was trampled underfoot 발에 밟히고
• and the birds of the air devoured it 공중의 새들이 그것을 삼켜 버렸다

→ 씨를 뿌리는 자가 그 씨를 뿌리러 나가서 뿌릴새 더러는 길 가에 떨어지매 밟히며 공중의 새들이 먹어버렸고

 

 

② And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 

• And some fell on the rock 어떤 것은 돌 위에 떨어져서
• and it grew up 그것이 자라서
• it withered away 말라 버렸다
• because it had no moisture 습기가 없기 때문에

→ 더러는 바위 위에 떨어지매 싹이 났다가 습기가 없으므로 말랐고

 

③ And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it.

• And some fell among thorns 어떤 것은 가시 사이에 떨어져서
• and the thorns grew up with it 가시가 함께 자라
• and choked it 그것을 막아 버렸다

→ 더러는 가시떨기 속에 떨어지매 가시가 함께 자라서 기운을 막았고

 

④ And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold. As he said these things, he called out, He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 

• And some fell into good soil 어떤 것은 좋은 땅에 떨어져
• and grew and yielded a hundredfold 자라서 백 배를 수확했다
• As he said these things 예수님이 이 말씀을 하시고
• he called out 외쳤다
• He who has ears to hear 들을 귀가 있는 사람은 
• let him hear 듣게 하여라

→ 더러는 좋은 땅에 떨어지매 나서 백 배의 결실을 하였느니라 이 말씀을 하시고 외치시되 들을 귀 있는 자는 들을지어다

 

 

5. 전체 문장 끊어 읽기

앞에 끊어서 읽으면서 해석한 것을 기억하며 읽어보세요. 영어문장을 읽을 때 끊어진 부분에서 아주 잠깐 쉰다고 생각하면서 읽으면 끊어진 단위대로 해석할 수 있게 됩니다.

6. 전체 문장 다시 읽기

끊어 읽기를 하나하나 생각하는 것이 아니라 전체 내용을 머릿속에 그림을 그리며 읽어보세요. 3-5번 멈추지 않고 읽어볼 것을 권합니다.

7. 자신의 음성으로 녹음하기

영어문장을 읽는 것이 익숙해졌다면 자신의 목소리로 녹음을 한 다음 들으면서 어색한 부분을 점검해 보세요. 이 과정을 통해서 좀 더 자신 있게 영어로 말하는 연습을 할 수 있습니다. 앞에 원어민이 읽어주는 파일과 비교하면서 연습해 보세요.

 

8. 전체문장 반복해서 읽기

자신의 목소리로 녹음해서 원어민 발음과 비교해서 교정을 했다면 이제 마지막으로 무한반복 읽기에 도전하기 바랍니다. 암기한 어휘나 끊어 읽기를 적용하는 것이 아니라 영어문장 자체를 계속 읽으면서 입에서 자연스럽게 나올 수 있게 반복해 보세요.
