2. 영어문장 소리 내서 3번 읽기

뜻을 모르더라도 읽을 수 있다면 일단 3번 읽어보세요. 절대 중간에 끊지 말고 처음부터 끝까지 읽어보세요.

 

Mark 6:39-44

39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. 41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all. 42 And they all ate and were satisfied. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. 44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

 

3. 어휘 암기하기

어휘를 암기하는 것은 어휘를 저축하는 것과 같습니다. 암기한 어휘를 문장에 적용시키면 오래도록 기억할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 저축한 어휘는 어느 순간 폭발적으로 효과를 나타냅니다. 

• command 명령하다
• grass 잔디
• heaven 하늘
• blessing 축복, (하나님의) 은혜
• break (broke-broken) 깨다, 부수다, 쪼개다
• disciple 제자
• before ~전에, ~앞에
• divide 나누다
• among ~사이에
• satisfy 만족시키다
• basket 바구니
• full of ~로 가득찬
• piece 조각

 

4. 직독직해 

영어문장 끊어 읽기를 연습합니다. 영어문장과 끊어서 해석한 우리말을 읽으면서 직독직해를 연습하세요.

① Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 

• Then he commanded them all 그 때 예수님은 그들 모두에게 명령하셨다
• to sit down in grops 떼를 지어 앉으라고
• on the green grass 푸른 잔디 위에

→ 제자들에게 명하사 그 모든 사람으로 떼를 지어 푸른 잔디 위에 앉게 하시니

 

 

② So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. 

• So they sat down in groups 그래서 그들은 떼를 지어 앉았다
• by hundreds and by fifties 백 명씩 또는 오십 명씩

→ 떼로 백 명씩 또는 오십 명씩 앉은지라

 

③ And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all. 

• And taking the five loaves and the two fish 그리고 빵 다섯개와 물고기 두 마리를 들고
• he looked to heaven 그는 하늘을 올려다 보셨다

→ 예수께서 떡 다섯 개와 물고기 두 마리를 가지사 하늘을 우러러 축사하시고 떡을 떼어 제자들에게 주어 사람들에게 나누어 주게 하시고 또 물고기 두 마리도 모든 사람에게 나누시매 

 

④ And they all ate and were satisfied. 

• And they all ate 그들 모두는 먹었다
• and were satisfied 그리고 만족했다

→ 다 배불리 먹고

 

⑤ And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish.

• And they took up twelve baskets 그들은 바구니 열 개를 모았다
• full of broken pieces and of the fish 부스러기 조각과 물고기로 가득찬 

→ 남은 떡 조각과 물고기를 열두 바구니에 차게 거두었으며

 

⑥ And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.

• And those who ate the loaves 빵을 먹은 사람들은 
• were five thousand men 오천 명의 남자였다

→ 떡을 먹은 남자는 오천 명이었더라

 

5. 전체 문장 끊어 읽기

앞에 끊어서 읽으면서 해석한 것을 기억하며 읽어보세요. 영어문장을 읽을 때 끊어진 부분에서 아주 잠깐 쉰다고 생각하면서 읽으면 끊어진 단위대로 해석할 수 있게 됩니다.

6. 전체 문장 다시 읽기

끊어 읽기를 하나하나 생각하는 것이 아니라 전체 내용을 머릿속에 그림을 그리며 읽어보세요. 3-5번 멈추지 않고 읽어볼 것을 권합니다.

7. 자신의 음성으로 녹음하기

영어문장을 읽는 것이 익숙해졌다면 자신의 목소리로 녹음을 한 다음 들으면서 어색한 부분을 점검해 보세요. 이 과정을 통해서 좀 더 자신 있게 영어로 말하는 연습을 할 수 있습니다. 앞에 원어민이 읽어주는 파일과 비교하면서 연습해 보세요.

 

8. 전체문장 반복해서 읽기

자신의 목소리로 녹음해서 원어민 발음과 비교해서 교정을 했다면 이제 마지막으로 무한반복 읽기에 도전하기 바랍니다. 암기한 어휘나 끊어 읽기를 적용하는 것이 아니라 영어문장 자체를 계속 읽으면서 입에서 자연스럽게 나올 수 있게 반복해 보세요.
