2. 영어문장 소리 내서 3번 읽기

뜻을 모르더라도 읽을 수 있다면 일단 3번 읽어보세요. 절대 중간에 끊지 말고 처음부터 끝까지 읽어보세요.

 

Matthew 7:24-27

24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. 

3. 어휘 암기하기

어휘를 암기하는 것은 어휘를 저축하는 것과 같습니다. 암기한 어휘를 문장에 적용시키면 오래도록 기억할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 저축한 어휘는 어느 순간 폭발적으로 효과를 나타냅니다. 

• word 단어, 말
• mine 나의 것
• like ~와 같이, ~처럼
• wise 현명한
• build (built-built) 건축하다, 짓다
• rock 바위
• fall (fell-fallen) 떨어지다, 넘어지다, 붕괴
• flood 홍수
• blow (blew-blown) (바람이) 불다
• beat 때리다
• found 기초를 쌓다, 건설하다, 설립하다
• foolish 어리석은
• sand 모래
• against ~에 반대해서

 

4. 직독직해 

영어문장 끊어 읽기를 연습합니다. 영어문장과 끊어서 해석한 우리말을 읽으면서 직독직해를 연습하세요.

① Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

• Everyone then who hears these words of mind 내 말을 듣는 모든 사람은
• and does them 그리고 그 말을 행하는 (모든 사람은)
• will be like a wise man 현명한 사람과 같을 것이다
• who built his house on the rock 그의 집을 바위 위에 지은

→ 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니

 

 

② And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

• And the rain fell 비가 내리고
• and the floods came 홍수가 나고
• and the winds blew and beat on that house 바람이 불어서 그 집을 때린다
• but it did not fall 그러나 그 집은 무너지지 않는다
• because it had been founded on the rock 바위 위에 지어졌기 때문이다

→ 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪치되 무너지지 아니하나니 이는 주초를 반석 위에 놓은 까닭이요

 

③ And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

• And everyone who hears these words of mind 내 말을 듣는 모든 사람은
• and does not do them 그리고 그것을 행하지 않는 (모든 사람은)
• will be like a foolish man 어리석은 사람과 같은 것이다
• who built his house on the sand 모래 위에 그의 집을 지은

→ 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하지 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니

 

④ And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. 

• And the rain fell 비가 내리고
•  and the floods came 홍수가 나고
• and the winds blew and beat against that house 바람이 불어 그 집을 때린다
• and it fell 그러면 집이 무너진다
• and great was the fall of it 그 무너짐이 심하다

→ 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪치매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라

 

 

5. 전체 문장 끊어 읽기

앞에 끊어서 읽으면서 해석한 것을 기억하며 읽어보세요. 영어문장을 읽을 때 끊어진 부분에서 아주 잠깐 쉰다고 생각하면서 읽으면 끊어진 단위대로 해석할 수 있게 됩니다.

6. 전체 문장 다시 읽기

끊어 읽기를 하나하나 생각하는 것이 아니라 전체 내용을 머릿속에 그림을 그리며 읽어보세요. 3-5번 멈추지 않고 읽어볼 것을 권합니다.

7. 자신의 음성으로 녹음하기

영어문장을 읽는 것이 익숙해졌다면 자신의 목소리로 녹음을 한 다음 들으면서 어색한 부분을 점검해 보세요. 이 과정을 통해서 좀 더 자신 있게 영어로 말하는 연습을 할 수 있습니다. 앞에 원어민이 읽어주는 파일과 비교하면서 연습해 보세요.

 

8. 전체문장 반복해서 읽기

자신의 목소리로 녹음해서 원어민 발음과 비교해서 교정을 했다면 이제 마지막으로 무한반복 읽기에 도전하기 바랍니다. 암기한 어휘나 끊어 읽기를 적용하는 것이 아니라 영어문장 자체를 계속 읽으면서 입에서 자연스럽게 나올 수 있게 반복해 보세요.
